(There is no one-way implementation concerning refuge in our country, which agrees with the Geneva Convention of 1951 relating to the legal status of refugees, subject to geographical restriction. According to this restriction, Turkey only accepts requests for refuge made from the member countries of the European Council. With respect to requests for refuge made from countries other than the European Council, it will grant a temporary residence permit to such people until they settle in the country that they will accept through the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR))
